We need you!...
Join us at Pedal for Parkinson’s, our summer cycling event in the Isle of Wight on Sunday 30th August 2015.
We’re looking for 10 friendly, enthusiastic people like you to marshal our three different routes (21, 41 and 59 miles) to help keep cyclists safe, and give them a smile and a cheer!
The Isle of Wight event starts at 10am at Seaclose Park, Newport and there will be approximately 150 cyclists taking part to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK.
Volunteer shifts of four hours or more will be available throughout the day from 9am – 5pm for a variety of roles, mainly marshaling the route to help keep our cyclists safe and helping out at the start and finish area.
You need to:
• Be personable and friendly with a positive manner, to cheer cyclists on as they pass you
• Be committed and responsible, with the ability to communicate details to members of the public
• Have a basic level of fitness as most roles involve standing for long periods
We'll provide reasonable travel expenses, lunch, and a Parkinson's UK t-shirt to wear on the day. We’ll also send detailed notes and fully brief you on the day.
Please do get in touch if you'd like to volunteer and make a difference!
